can the shape of a horizon be met?
by upraised arms in the paleness of blue
of course there is a guiltless sea
out past the upraised sky

in the hearts of children lay
the last and best course of human potential
and concrete thoughts of how much a monkey would weigh,
while jumping on a bed on the moon

trees match the up lifted arms, we’re all doing the same thing and loving it!
smiles, cloud-bitten treeless rim of the world
a surface to the earthen world- broken and like water splashing
play for a moment in the breathless air
dip back, depths of the real rocky vale, tops of clouds,
the infinitude of space above, the unnecessarily friendly pull of gravity
the corona of the sun dipped back and shadowing
this is as high as it goes- touches each
of the ten tips
of hands-above-head fingers
