Zack day 2 feeling much better.
Many of you have heard that Zackery was hospitalized this weekend. we are home now! Zackery was admitted Saturday morning, he has RSV complicated by bacterial pneumonia. He was pretty darn sick Saturday, i couldn't get him to stay awake, and he wouldn't take any fluids, leading to dehydration. after several attempts they where able to get an IV started and get some fluids as well had antibiotics into him. it was a very long weekend, at one point his IV stopped working and they where unable to start a new line (After many pokes, poor baby) luckily he had started taking fluids on his own, and they decided they could give him the antibiotics through multiple shots. (not fun but better then trying to get an IV again!!) Thanks so much to Doug, Trent and David for coming out to Island Hospital to administer to Zack, it meant a lot to have you all there!!
So, this week we are in quarantine, resting and trying to get healthy! thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Hey I am so sorry. We have had RSV a couple times with Alex and he too was in the hospital this weekend. I hope he is doing better soon. Don't forget to take care of you too. Let us know if we can help at all.

Your dad told me about little Zack as he was leaving work today while looking quite under the weather, too. I sure hope that both of them are feeling better soon. Derik, Jeff, and I have all been sick for the last 2 weeks, but no hospitalizations required (just another Urgent Care visit), so we are lucky so far. Miserable bugs! I can't wait for summer.
