bio-degradable straws

we go through a lot of straws at our house and i always feel bad filling the landfill with them, i have been doing a lot of research, stainless steal (owie) washable plastic (BP-A) bamboo(hard to wash) glass (kids and glass?) the best thing i have found are these cool corn based straws, they are not reusable but they are compostable and made from a renewable resource, and they are cheaper than plastic throw-a-way straws!! the more you buy the cheaper they are, so i was wondering if anyone would like to go in on an order with me!! we can order mass amounts so anyone who would like to can get in on this order with me! let me know, i think i will place my order early next week, maybe tuesday or wednesday.

Our clear unwrapped drinking straws are affordable and compostable. Made from corn, an annually renewable resource, NatureWorks PLA is a plastic-like resin that is fully compostable.
These NatureWorks straws have a heat tolerance of up to 140 degrees (F). Your food comes from nature and now so does its packaging!

Very cool! I should have thought of that type! Our partyware for Fran's birthday last year was cornware!
