House

ok so lots of people have been asking about the house we put an offer on so here is an update:

unfortunately there is not a whole lot to tell, the house was appraised last week which is a good thing because it means the bank is entertaining the offer. for those who don't know we are doing what is called a "Short Sale" meaning the owners of this house are about to be foreclosed on and we are offering less than they owe to take the house off the hands of the bank before they have to foreclose. short sales can be a great way to get a good deal but they are known to take a LONG time. so right now we are waiting to hear if the bank will accept our offer. they told the owners agent they will have an answer on the 18th. of course that answer could be "we need another 2 weeks" I really hope we get this house, its in a great location and under our budget. I am prepared however to start the search again in the event the bank doesn't accept our offer. wish us luck!
