Seattle Christmas Day

Mike took monday off work and we headed into seattle for a day of christmas fun! First stop was the seattle center for their Christmas model train. Zackery went crazy! he was chasing the train all the way around the display, knocking innocent bystanders out of his way! that boy sure loves trains. next we jumped on the Monorail and took it to Westlake center for the holiday carousel. the whole way on the monorail Zackery was yelling "go choo-choo go!". The carousel was fun the kids wanted to go again and again. after a snack of doughnuts it was back on the monorail to the seattle center for some Ice Skating. we all skated, even Zack. it was so much fun! Luke and Em did really well, even braved the ice without the walkers. Zackery only lasted about 10 minutes and then enjoyed waving to us with daddy from the sidelines.

After that long day we headed to a Caroling party. My family has done a caroling party with the same families for 28 years straight! it is something we looked forward to every year! this was my first year back since being a mom, it was a great tradition to share with my kids. unfortunately our party was cut short after just one house when a member of our group was hit by a car while crossing the street to join the group. it was really awful! luckily he is fine, after a trip to the ER to get checked out he was sent home, with the DRs saying it was a miracle he wasn't seriously injured. i'll tell you what, I really hope i never witness anything like that again! we are just so thankful that Bob is ok!! After that excitement we returned to the Host house and enjoyed good food and even better company. after all these years those families really feel like an extension of my own family and i am grateful to have them in my life!
