here is my latest project, trying to get ready for Luke to start kindergarten. at our house we have set a goal to use as many reusable things as we can... Diapers, Napkins, Grocery bags, and now nifty washable bags to replace plastic baggies. they are really simple, and not done with a lot of skill, but they work! and luke will be able to start school with a totally reusable lunch system, so he will never get into the habit of throwing things away, and will be more likely to bring home his baggies!!!

Very cool!
He has a lunch system? A system? WOW, I remember when I had lunch. No plastic bags then either, just wrapped in wax paper. We thought plastic bags were a great innovation. Oh well, times change.
What kind of fabric did you use for them? They're very cute! I'd love to see them in person!
I used regular cotton fro the outside, and a drapery liner ( part cotton part polyester for a lining) so they are not water proof, but water resistant. we should have a play date and i can show you!
