I'm trying very, very hard to be cautious in my optimism, but if President Obama does not mark a distinct and sharp change in course, I fear for my country. The last 28 years, since Reagan began tearing our nation apart, have been sad and frightening. It was so symbolic that Reagan began by tearing the solar panels off the white house that Jimmy Carter had put up there. A visual symbol of his intent to move us, pedal the the metal, in the wrong direction. And now, so many years later, he we are, in the wrong place.
I am a stay at home mom of 4 beautiful amazing children. Our oldest has a severe peanut allergy, which keeps us on our toes! I am a baby-wearing, Breast feeding, co-sleeping, organic buying, nature loving mom. I try to teach my children to respect our planet and it's delicate ecosystems, to help them understand that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, that we are the stewards of our planet and have a responsibility to leave it better than we found it. we love camping, hiking, pretty much anything outdoors. I love every moment of motherhood- even when I'm ready to pull my hair out!
