My friend Marjorie took my family to see The Wizard Of OZ at the Seattle children's theater, as a Christmas gift! We had SO much fun! the production was amazing!! Emelia is OBSESSED with the Wizard of OZ and so she thought it was really awesome! she sat through most of the play with a huge smile on her face. the only bad part was when the flying monkeys came on stage, she was TERRIFIED! partly i think because we were in the front row, which was really great but that meant that we were really close to the scary monkeys! Emelia started Screaming and i had to take her up to the Quite room where we could still see the play but it was farther away! after the wicked witch was melted we went back in. Luke sat very nicely through the whole show and he really liked the flying monkeys!! After the show Emelia and Luke got to get autographs from some of the actors, including Dorthy and the Wicked Witch! The actor who played the Mayor of Munchkinland even told Emelia he could see her Sparkly Dorthy dress from up on stage! it was a really really really fun day!!! THANKS MARJORIE!!! what a great gift!!!

Emelia is not the first child to be afraid of the flying monkeys. They are, for sure, the scariest part of the story.
