Allergist

on wednesday, ALL the kids had allergist appointments. it was a very l o n g day, it took 4 hours! Emelia is still allergy free (yeah!!) We had Zackery skin tested for the first time and found out that he is allergic to Almonds. which means he is probably allergic to nuts in general but hasn't had enough exposure to test positive. so that means he has to avoid peanuts and tree nuts also. i was actually kinda happy when he tested positive, it gives Luke someone to relate to. we call them the "Nut Buddies" now. I think it will make things a little easier on Luke when he isn't the only one who can't have something because it has nuts. I think it will bring them closer together to have that in common. i know it probably sounds really weird that i'm happy my child has a food allergy, but i think its something you can't really understand unless you have a child with food allergies, it can be a very lonely world when you are the only one who is different. of course if i had my choice neither one would have allergies, i guess i'm just trying to look at the positive part, because the negatives are a little over-whelming.....
