as you can see from these pictures i had a very long day today. after play group at the pizza factory i decided to check out the local thrift store, while loading everyone into the car i heard a thump and screaming, i ran around to the other side of our van and there was Emelia, on the ground bleeding profusely from a gash on her eyebrow. those of you who know me know i'm not one of those people who stay cool and calm in an emergency, i quickly scooped her up and pressed my hand against her bleeding head. then i stood there in the middle of the parking lot covered in blood and pee (Em had an accident) i couldn't think of what to do next. luckily i had already put zackery in his car seat. so then i looked over at the car next to me where a very nice couple where just getting into there car, and i said "i need some help" they brought over some napkins and helped me get out my cell phone, which i used to call mike to come and help me. my exact words to mike were "your daughter is gushing blood from her head, i need your help." so mike came and drove us to the ER while i sat in the back applying pressure. so anyway after a long ER wait, Emelia ended up with 7 stitches in her eyebrow. we got the puppy you see in the pictures at the hospital gift shop, that was a very good investment, it kept her happy the whole wait time, and gave her something to cuddle after the procedure. anyway, i left my house at 9:00 this morning and didn't come home again till after 6:00!! Emelia is fine now, and will probably have a cool scar to show off.

Ouch! I am glad that everything turned out in the end.
It sounds like you kept your cool quite well, better than I imagine that I would have. I am glad to see that Em had a smile on her face.
we've been there three times with Alexis before three years old. She has some pretty cool scars on her forhead, lets hope Em doesn't make it a tradition. Good luck!!!
Poor thing. Those head injuries really bled a lot.
wow..what a long day; Im glad she is ok!
Poor thing! I am glad to know that I am not the only one who goes immediately to panic mode! It is one of those failings that I am working to fix. Glad to hear that Emmie came out of it okay. I hate the ER!
